In the not too distant future, we will be adding to this page as the numerous projects for Glan-y-Bala are started, showing the progress of each improvement and possibly even asking your opinions and thoughts of them.

For the moment however, we can let you know that Glan-y-Bala's terraced Victorian gardens will be receiving a facelift! A jolly-good dose of weed killer and a long-overdue chainsaw haircut is not too far away - weather permitting (as always!).

The intention is to restore the terraced gardens to what they could have been like in Victorian times, not only in design but also in the range of plants, flowers and shrubs which were brought to the UK by the adventurous Victorians as they increased the Empire and travelled the globe. No easy task when all you have is an 8' x 12' greenhouse with wonky foundations built by the previous owners.

Landscaping of the pond area is also planned (HSE permitting!) along with numerous minor seating areas, alterations, tweeks and improvements.
